Northern Rivers Veal is notable for its being a world class
product acquired through ethical farm rearing. It is the veal of
healthy animals produced by natural means. The lush, chlorophyll
dense pasturelands of Casino contribute. Acclaim must be given,
though, to the innovative ideas of Northern Rivers Veal’s
growers. High quality, milk fed animals are allowed to graze for
the last few months to achieve a delicate depth of flavour and
normal iron count. Northern Rivers veal also offers the fineness
of texture and leanness expected of top tier veal.
White Rocks Veal
White Rocks has been a dairy farm for more than 120 years.
The Partridge family has accumulated a significant amount of
knowledge about, and expertise in, raising highest calibre
animals.
Developing export quality veal (and the most famous veal
brand in Australia) has been a studied process. White Rocks veal
is a natural product of animals in peak health, grown in a
pampered environment. They live outdoors. White Rocks’ veal and
dairy herds are separated.
The animals are fed full cream milk from White Rocks’ dairy
herd until their natural digestive systems develop. They are
then offered some grass, rolled barley or lupin as well. Natural
probiotic yoghurt cultures are given to protect the animals from
disease instead of antibiotics. White Rocks veal is delicate,
lean and milky - and extremely tender - with a characteristic
pale pink colour that underscores its true veal character.
